Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 10, 2026
Effective Date: August 10, 2026
1. Introduction
Nemor is an iOS app that helps you save, organize, search, and rediscover links, videos, articles, social media posts, and other online content.
This Privacy Policy explains how Nemor handles information when you use the Nemor app, its Share Extension, and the Nemor website.
Nemor is developed and operated by Nikolaos Vasileiadis, an independent developer based in Greece. For GDPR purposes, Nikolaos Vasileiadis is the data controller only where he determines the purpose and means of processing personal data.
Nemor does not sell your personal data, does not show ads, does not use third-party advertising tracking, and does not operate a backend that stores or reads your saved library.
Nemor uses pseudonymous app analytics, diagnostics, and privacy-focused website analytics to understand use and improve the Service. These services do not receive the content of your saved library or information that directly identifies you, such as your name, email address, Apple Account details, or payment card information. The information they process is described below.
2. Contact
If you contact us by email or through the Nemor website, we may process the information you provide, such as your email address and message content.
We use this information only to respond to your request, provide support, handle legal obligations, or manage related technical administration.
The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in responding to your request, or performance of a contract if your request relates to your use of Nemor or a subscription.
3. Information Stored by the App
Nemor stores your saved content either locally on your device or, if iCloud is enabled for Nemor, in your private iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit services.
This may include:
- Links and URLs you save.
- Link metadata, such as titles, descriptions, thumbnails, creators, providers, and content types.
- Folders, tags, hashtags, favorites, notes, and other organization data you create.
- App settings, quick-save settings, notification preferences, and subscription status.
Nemor does not have a separate account system, does not provide a public profile, and does not publish your saved links, folders, tags, notes, or favorites to a public feed.
Nemor's developer does not have direct access to the content you save locally or in your private iCloud account.
4. Link Previews
When you save a link, Nemor may fetch metadata from the linked website or an oEmbed provider to create a preview, such as a title, thumbnail, creator, description, provider name, or content type.
This happens only for links you choose to save. The linked website or provider may receive the URL being requested and ordinary technical request information, such as IP address, user agent, and request time. Those providers handle that information under their own privacy policies.
5. iCloud Sync
Nemor may use Apple's private iCloud/CloudKit services to sync supported app data across devices signed in to the same Apple Account.
Synced data may include saved links, folders, tags, hashtags, favorites, notes, link metadata, and related library data.
Some settings may remain stored locally on your device instead of in iCloud.
Apple processes iCloud and CloudKit data under Apple's own privacy policy and iCloud terms. iCloud sync depends on your Apple Account, iCloud settings, storage availability, network connection, and Apple's services.
6. Subscriptions
Nemor may offer Premium subscriptions through Apple's App Store.
Payments, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment methods are handled by Apple. Nemor does not directly process or store your payment card details.
Nemor uses RevenueCat to manage subscription offerings, purchases, restores, paywalls, and entitlement status. RevenueCat may process subscription-related information such as App Store receipts, product identifiers, purchase status, entitlement status, anonymous customer identifiers, device information, and related technical data needed to provide subscription services.
The legal basis for this processing is performance of a contract.
More information is available in RevenueCat's privacy policy.
7. Analytics, Crash Reporting, and Diagnostics
Website Analytics
The Nemor website uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure aggregate page views and understand which pages, referrers, browsers, operating systems, device types, and approximate locations are most common.
Vercel Web Analytics does not use third-party cookies. Page-view data is not associated with an individual account or stored IP address. Vercel may process an event timestamp, page path, referrer, filtered query parameters, approximate country, region, or city, browser and operating-system information, and device type. A visitor hash derived from the request is discarded after 24 hours.
This information is used for aggregate website measurement, maintenance, and improvement—not advertising, cross-site tracking, or individual profiling. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in understanding and maintaining the public website. More information is available in Vercel's Web Analytics privacy documentation.
Product Analytics
Nemor uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used, measure the effectiveness of features, identify unsuccessful workflows, improve usability, and plan product improvements.
Nemor and Firebase process pseudonymous product-interaction and technical information. For details about Firebase's data practices, see Firebase's privacy and security documentation.
Nemor does not send saved URLs, link titles, search terms, creator names, folder names, tag names, notes, other saved-library content, or raw error messages to Firebase Analytics. Analytics also does not receive your name, email address, Apple Account details, or payment card information from Nemor.
This information does not directly identify you by name, but it may constitute personal data under applicable law.
Nemor does not provide Firebase Analytics with a Nemor user ID, does not associate analytics with a Nemor account because Nemor has no account system, and does not use analytics for advertising or cross-app tracking.
The legal basis for analytics processing is our legitimate interest in understanding aggregate use of the Service, improving existing features, planning improvements, and maintaining a useful and reliable app. Analytics collection is enabled by default, and Nemor does not currently provide a separate in-app setting to disable it.
Crash Reporting and Diagnostics
Nemor uses Firebase Crashlytics to help detect crashes, diagnose bugs, and improve app stability.
Crashlytics may process technical information such as crash logs, stack traces, app version, iOS version, device model, installation identifiers, and related diagnostic information.
Crash reports are used only to improve stability and fix bugs, not for advertising.
The legal basis for crash reporting and diagnostics is our legitimate interest in keeping the app stable and reliable.
8. Notifications
If you enable notifications, Nemor may use iOS notification features to send local reminders, Rediscover notifications, or weekly summary notifications.
You can manage notification permission in iOS Settings and notification preferences inside Nemor where available.
The legal basis for notification processing is your consent where required.
9. Third-Party Services
Nemor does not sell your personal data and does not share your saved library for advertising.
Nemor uses a small number of third-party services only where needed to operate the Service:
- Apple, for App Store distribution, StoreKit purchases, iCloud/CloudKit sync, notifications, and Apple platform services.
- RevenueCat, for subscription management and entitlement status.
- Google Analytics for Firebase, for product analytics and usage measurement.
- Firebase Crashlytics / Google Firebase, for crash reporting and stability diagnostics.
- Vercel, for hosting and aggregate website analytics.
These services process information under their own privacy policies and terms.
More information is available in Google's Privacy Policy, Firebase's privacy and security information, and RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
10. Data Retention
Saved library data remains on your device or in your private iCloud account until you delete it, delete the app, erase your device, or remove related iCloud data through Apple tools and settings.
If iCloud sync is enabled, deleting the app from one device may not automatically delete data already stored in iCloud.
Google retains analytics information according to its applicable settings, policies, and legal obligations.
Vercel discards the visitor hash used by Web Analytics after 24 hours and retains aggregate analytics according to the project's Vercel plan and settings.
Crash reports, subscription records, App Store records, and CloudKit records may be retained by Firebase/Google, RevenueCat, and Apple according to their own retention policies and legal obligations.
11. International Data Transfers
Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Vercel, and their service providers may process information in countries outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area.
12. Data Security
Nemor relies on iOS platform protections, Apple's app sandboxing, app-group storage for the main app and Share Extension, encrypted network communication used by its service providers, HTTPS network communication where supported, and Apple's iCloud/CloudKit infrastructure where sync is used.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your device, Apple Account, iCloud account, App Store account, and device passcode secure.
13. Children's Privacy
Nemor is not directed to children and is not intended for children under 13, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction to consent to data processing.
Nemor does not ask children to create an account or knowingly collect directly identifying information from them. The pseudonymous analytics and diagnostic processing described in Section 7 may occur when the Service is used.
14. Your GDPR Rights
If GDPR applies to you, you may have the right to:
- Access personal data we process about you.
- Correct inaccurate personal data.
- Delete personal data, subject to legal and technical limits.
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Receive a portable copy of personal data you provided, where applicable.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.
Much of Nemor's library data is stored on your device or in your private iCloud account. You can manage much of this data directly by editing or deleting content in the app, deleting the app, managing iCloud data through Apple settings, disabling iCloud for Nemor, or managing App Store subscriptions through Apple.
Because Nemor does not have a user account and analytics information is not associated with your name or email address, Nemor cannot locate a particular analytics record using your contact details alone.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
The updated Privacy Policy applies from the date it is posted, unless a later effective date is stated.
